Contribution and support of SVDSZ member states

EUMABOIS was founded as a voluntary federation of woodworking machinery manufacturers in Europe. At present EUMABOIS represents an association of thirteen national associations representing the main European producers of machines, tools and accessories. Approximately 800 manufacturers belonging to EUMABOIS, represent the production of more than 5,000 million EUR which represents 56 % of global production. All producers of machines, tools and accessories participate in these manufacturing sectors:

• Primary processing of wood: 
  Machines and accessories for forestry, saw mills, driers, machines for production of veneer, glued wood, MDF chipboard, OSB and LVL panels
• Secondary processing of wood: 
  Machines and equipment for production of final products, such as furniture, doors and windows, chairs, frames, etc.

 The objective of EUMABOIS is to protect the interests of members and the accordance of promotion and co-activities between members of the Association. The main activities serve mainly for the support of the export from the member states of the Association. This support is visible in fairs and exhibitions either in Europe, as well as in area of interest for the processing of wood and wooden substances (South America, Asia, Russian Federation, etc.) 

EUMABOIS guarantees for exhibitors from member states the maximum permitted price per 1 m2, which is significantly lower than the official price for the area of the respective fair administration. In selected exhibitions and fairs we provide member states with free information service /information kiosk free of charge for the national association, advertisements for EUMABOIS in the catalogue, etc.) 

In addition, EUMABOIS participates in the creation and development of European standards for woodworking machines and equipment - CEN TC 142 and advises regarding legislative changes in EU regulations in individual fields. On the Internet pages www.eumabois.com the nomenclature for woodworking machines, tools and equipment is available for all company members and provides member companies, fair organisations and woodworking companies with orientation in the classification of fields of individual woodworking machines and tools and the respective services. 

In the area of promotion and public relations, Eumabois acts with the aim to publish the activities of the Federation and to spread it throughout the world. 

The steering centre of EUMABOIS is in Belgium and the Steering Committee consists of five members from various countries.
